Skill Variants

Healing Skills

Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (1)A.E.D. requires a bit of skill to use as it provides a massive heal if you were to take lethal damage, but mediocre otherwise. Its toolbelt skill is also a useful CC Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (2)Static Shock. Other options can be considered.

  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (3)Healing Turret - good healing and condi cleanse when first cast. But the toolbelt skill is very mediocre.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (4)Med Kit - large heal with Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (5)Bandage Self. The kit also has condition cleanse, extra heal plus a water field, and defensive boons.

Utility Skills

Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (6)Throw Mine deals massive damage and you should never replace it, it is even stronger thanks to Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (7)Gadgeteer.
Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (8)Grenade Kit requires a bit of skill to use to be constantly switching in and out of it, but provides good damage.
Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (9)Elixir U is just a good stun break. You can replace Grenade Kit and Elixir U for other alternatives if you'd like.

  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (10)Rocket Boots - for getting around faster. But provides no damage.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (11)Flamethrower - for tagging mobs in group events with Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (12)Flame Jet.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (13)Elixir Gun - good stun break with its toolbelt skill Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (14)Healing Mist, healing with Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (15)Super Elixir, and a backwards leap with Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (16)Acid Bomb.
  • If you need extra crowd control (though Throw Mine already deals a lot) you can use Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (17)Personal Battering Ram.

Elite Skills

Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (18)Elite Mortar Kit provides a good mixture of utility and damage from 1500 range. Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (19)Flash Shell can blind groups of trash mobs, and Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (20)Endothermic Shell can slow them. Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (21)Elixir Shell also provides some healing. Other options can be considered.

  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (22)Supply Crate - AoE stun and damage. Amazing except for its long cooldown. Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (23)Med Pack Drop cleanses all conditons when first used and then leaves health packs in the area.

Specializations

Variants

  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (24)Streamlined Kits - swiftness at the cost of damage

Alchemy

Alchemy can replace Tools to massively reduce damage in exchange for lots of boons and defense.

  • You will need to use more elixir to benefit from Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (25)HGH. Use Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (26)Elixir H, Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (27)Elixir B, Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (28)Elixir U, Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (29)Elixir Gun for its Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (30)Acid Bomb and Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (31)Super Elixir; and Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (32)Elite Mortar Kit for Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (33)Elixir Shell.

Usage

Damage

  • Spam Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (37)Throw Mine, Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (38)Blunderbuss, Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (39)Jump Shot, Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (40)Grenade Barrage, and Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (41)Orbital Strike.
    • When those are on cooldown, use your Grenade Kit for Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (42)Shrapnel Grenade and Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (43)Poison Grenade, then go back to rifle.
  • If you need really long damage you can use Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (44)Elite Mortar Kit.

Defense

  • Most enemies will just die before they can attack you. They will also struggle to even come close to you thanks to all your crowd control.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (45)Flash Shell can be used to continuously blind enemies, and Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (46)Endothermic Shell to impede their movement. You can also use Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (47)Overcharged Shot to push them away if it doesn't push them away from nearby melee range players.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (48)Jump Shot can be used to get out of trouble.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (49)Toss Elixir U - AoE stunbreak for your allies, and Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (50) superspeed.
  • Remember to always dodge and sidestep attacks if possible. Don't get hit by anything you can move out of. You have lots of Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (51) Vigor so don't be shy to dodge.
  • Your toolbelt skills remove conditions thanks to Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (52)Mechanized Deployment.

Sustain

  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (53)A.E.D. will heal you for a lot if you were to take lethal damage in the next 8 seconds (duration increased thanks to Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (54)Gadgeteer). But if you prefer a less risky heal skill you can use Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (55)Healing Turret which also cleanses 2 conditions. You can pick the turret up for a cooldown reduction, or detonate it 1 second after deploy to blast the water field for more healing.
    • Never leave your Healing Turret out: the healing you get from the passive regeneration is worse than if you detonate it / pick it up and put it down again.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (56)Elixir Shell provides a small amount of healing and creates a water combo field that you can blast for extra healing.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (57)Flash Shell provides a light field that you can blast to cleanse conditions.
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (58)Big Boomer provides a little bit of healing.

Crowd Control

  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (59)Overcharged Shot
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (60)Throw Mine
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (61)Static Shock
  • Build:Engineer - Core Power Engineer (62)Net Shot
