I think the most frustrating part of this is that a rep could see in the data that the signal deteriorated over 3 weeks but nothing proactive was done and it waited until it broke and I called in order to init a fix.@Xfinity if you need help with anomaly detection, hit me up.

NHL season is 11 days away and NBA season is 18 days away. If you live Central or Northern New Jersey and you have Comcast unfortunately you’re out of luck because Comcast today pulled the plug of MSG Network.

It’s unbelievable of what Xfinity is saying on why they drop MSG Network. Their claiming that 95% of all customers that received MSG Network over the past year did not watch more than 10 of the approximately 240 games it broadcasts.

@randomduck When bldg renov we moved to swing apt while ours was worked. The Comcast service went out completely at least 1 3+hr every week. Their end. Bldg still sees at least 2 multi-hr outages every mo. Usually internet & phone but tv can also go out. At least my DSL is reliable.

@LouisPeitzman I went through the rabbit hole on this. Comcast wanted YouTube TV to bundle Peaco*ck with the service in the new contract to boost Peaco*ck’s subscriber count. YT said no and was like “we’ll advertise it and see how many new subs you can get to see if people think it’s worth it”

I love how reliable @Xfinity is. It’s like it never disconnects and always shows that accurately on the outage map. I just love that I don’t have to go into the office half way through the day during a pandemic because my internet disconnected.

Xfinity came to diagnose our internet outage and basically said "we're sending a different frequency to your house now That's more modern and your coax cable may not work as well with it."The options: rewire our whole house, or get 3 Mbps while paying for 200. WTAF.

For Xfinity customers that live in Central and Northern New Jersey let me just say that I feel your pain about losing the channel of MSG Network for nearly 2 weeks. Hopefully someone gets involved or has the power to do something to force Xfinity to restore MSG Network.

@comcastcares I need help. No internet since Saturday. 3 hrs on phone w/support. A 3.5 hr on-site tech visit yesterday ended with "I'll be back tomw morning." Yesterday's tech called an hour ago and said a supervisor was to call this morning. Still haven't heard from anyone.

@Xfinity It was a brief 👏🏻👏🏻 outage but an outage nonetheless. If I’d been made aware in advance, I’d have planned my break and work around it. For all the messages about movies and streaming, knowing when service might be interrupted would be even better.
